Manish Nayar
CEO
Manish is a dynamic, knowledgeable and passionate renewable energy and cleantech executive that brings together 20 years of venture capital, investment banking, management and manufacturing experience. He is the founder and CEO of OYA Ventures, an early stage private investment vehicle focused on companies in the renewable energy, cleantech and agritech space. Manish is a hands on operating executive, helping these businesses scale in their sectors. Manish founded OYA Solar, Polar Racking and PRI Engineering and has since made numerous investments across the renewable energy, energy efficiency, fintech and sustainable agriculture sectors.
Bernadette Corpuz
General Counsel
Bernadette is a seasoned business lawyer with roughly 20 years of experience in the power sector gained in the national electricity markets groups of Borden Ladner Gervais LLP and Gowling WLG. Bernadette’s experience holds particular focus in renewable power. She has acted in over 1000 MW of renewable power transactions and has advised clients in all aspects of power projects, including power purchase and development agreements, government renewable procurements, mergers and acquisitions, financings and joint ventures. Bernadette was recently recognized in The Best Lawyers in Canada 2020 for Energy Law. She holds LLB/JD degrees from the Universities of Windsor and Detroit Mercy, and an MBA from McMaster.

Janet is a fearless and enthusiastic marketing professional with a diverse range of marketing experience ranging from B2B marketing technology to multimillion P2P fundraising. With hands-on experience from in-the-field interviewing to multiple website launches, Janet is passionate about helping the data to drive storytelling, strategy, and positive, real-world impact. Janet holds a Master’s degree from Waterloo University and a PhD from McGill.
